Knowing what to do in a crisis can be the difference between chaos and calm. To be an expert in crisis communications, you have to move your organization at the speed of Twitter. Planning is the best way to meet the pressures and complexities of a crisis and knowing how to work with news media effectively is essential to delivering crucial information about the crisis to parents and the community. Ken Jones is a former journalist with decades of experience and is a key member of the Shell Oil Americas Response Team dedicated to responding nationally to environmental incidents.
