A charter school board should have a set of clear, measurable, annual board goals. These are separate from your CEO’s goals and clearly define how the board will be adding value to the organization in the year ahead. These goals should clearly map to the promises you made to your charter authorizer. Come to this lively interactive session and start developing (or improving) your board’s goals. You will learn: 1) How to create effective board goals and the role of the full board, committees and your CEO in developing them. 2) How to track these goals throughout the year and hold each other accountable to delivering tangible results. This is an action-oriented session. You will have the chance to start creating your board goals (or refining them) on the spot and leave the session with some concrete next steps.
