In today’s rapidly changing K-12 Special Education environment, it is challenging for educators, administrators and service providers to deliver high-quality education services via systems that impede collaboration around work processes and visibility into performance.  We will discuss the implications of the fact that viable, cost-effective solutions which generate sustained improvement in school performance require stakeholder collaboration in ways that are extremely difficult to accomplish without optimized processes, accurate data and timely execution.

We will discuss the need for the following responses to the challenges:

1.     Alignment of LEA and SEA objectives

2.     The ability to collaborate online - easily and as often as necessary

3.     Standardization and automation of the necessary work processes

4.     Availability of required data, in context

5.     Accountability via appropriate performance measurement

6.     Comprehensive, insightful and flexible reporting at multiple levels
