Robert E. Fulton is a Senior Financial Executive with a track record of leadership success within publicly-traded corporations and charter school management organizations.

Fulton currently serves as a board member for the IDEA Public School which opens in 2019. Before this role, he served as the chief financial officer for the Jefferson Parish School Board for three years, after serving three years as the chief financial officer for the Recovery School District and three years as the chief financial officer and interim chief executive officer of the Algiers Charter Schools.  At all three he has been responsible for the financial leadership and integrity of their operations. 

Before his career in education,  Fulton enjoyed a career in marine construction where he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Torch Offshore, the Vice President/Treasurer for Global Industries, a $450M marine construction company, and Assistant Treasurer for McDermott International, a $3B energy service firm. He developed numerous financial management systems for Global Industries and organized due diligence for acquisition candidates in the US, Europe, West Africa, S.E. Asia, and the Middle East. For McDermott International he established a foreign exchange group and championed business expansion through M&A activities, securing multiple levels of outside financing including $2+B of syndicated bank credits and public bond issues. His work expedited the launch of operations in Germany, Asia, and Latin America. 

Fulton holds a Masters of International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management  (Thunderbird) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame.
